Roasted Barley Tea Recipe

Roasted barley tea has antioxidant properties, is a good source of phytonutrients, and creates a soothing and comforting feeling. It contains eight essential amino acids and it is rich in vitamins, fiber, and minerals. Barley tea helps with cold symptoms and fever because it cleanses the system and inhibits the growth of bacteria. Make some barley tea and keep it in the refrigerator for several days. If your baby is not eating gluten for his first year, wait to give him this tea until his first birthday, because barley contains gluten.

You will need 
  • 2 tablespoons roasted barley
  • 2 cups water
  1. Put barley and water in pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Cool, strain, and serve in a trainer bottle, sippy, or regular cup.
