Your child will naturally become interested in self-feeding around 9 months of age. The green sprouts® Learning Spoon Set comes complete with adult & baby spoons, so baby can practice while adult feeds.
Show your child how to scoop bites and feed using the adult spoon. Then, allow baby to try using the baby spoon; loop handle allows baby to grasp it easily, and the shovel tip makes scooping easy while food stays in place.
The baby spoon also helps keep baby’s hands occupied, to make it easier for parents to feed and ensure wholesome portions.
At 9 months, your baby will increase hand-to-mouth coordination and become interested in self-feeding. Parents will still feed primarily, for whole portions, while baby observes and learns.
green sprouts® Learning Spoon Set allows a smooth transition between Feeding Spoons and Learning Cutlery Set. As baby watches you use the adult spoon to feed, your child can mimic actions using the baby spoon.
Do not microwave, sterilize, or boil. Always check food temperature before feeding.
Clean green sprouts® Learning Spoon Set before first use and after each use.
Dishwasher safe (top rack only) or wash in warm water with mild soap and rinse thoroughly. Avoid use of abrasive cleaners. Dry with soft cloth before storing. Do not store in direct sunlight or near a source of heat.
Adults can use the feeding spoon as early as 6 months, and we recommend introducing the baby spoon at 9 months and up.
